The Faculty of Medical Sciences at Azad University Lahijan Branch encompasses three accredited fields: Nursing, Laboratory Sciences, and Clinical Psychology. The Nursing program, initiated in Mehr 1372 (September/October 1993), admitted 63 students at the undergraduate level and has since graduated over 26 cohorts of bachelor’s degree recipients. Since Mehr 1391 (September/October 2012), Azad University Lahijan Branch has been admitting students to the Clinical Psychology program at the master’s level. To date, over eight cohorts of graduates in this field have entered the workforce and society. The Clinical Psychology master’s program strives to teach graduates the necessary knowledge and skills to recognize, predict, and treat cognitive, emotional, biological, psychosocial, and behavioral abnormalities.
